Kamila Koppová Receives succeeded in the Make Our Planet Great Again Award 2026
Kamila Koppová, a PhD student at the Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology, University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, received 3rd Prize in the Make Our Planet Great Again Award 2026 for environmental and climate research, which is part of the Scientific Prizes of the French Embassy.
The Make Our Planet Great Again Award for Environmental and Climate Research is organized by the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic in cooperation with BNP Paribas. The award aims to recognize research carried out by Czech students in the fields of climate change, the environment, and sustainable development.
Kamila Koppová received the award for her thesis „The Effect of Inhibitors from Biowaste Processing on the Biotechnological Production of Chemicals“. Her research addresses the critical global challenge of transitioning from petroleum-based chemical production to sustainable bio-based alternatives through the use of microorganisms.
